Yes, to start. Your first trip in the app is on us, and you can plan one trip right here on the web without an account. After that, buy trips one at a time or go Pro: 15 trips a month, priority planning and unlimited reshapes, with a 7-day free trial.
Which phones does it run on?
iPhone and Android. The web planner works in any browser, and every trip you make there can be copied into the app.
Where in the world does it work?
Anywhere Google Maps knows the roads. Travelers have shared trips across Europe, Türkiye, North America, Brazil, Thailand and Australia.
Does it plan for camper vans, electric cars and motorbikes?
Yes. Tell it what you drive. Electric cars get charging stops that line up with meals, camper vans get camp-friendly overnights, and motorbikes get roads worth riding.
Can I use it without a signal?
You can check in at each stop offline and keep following the plan. The live map, hotel prices and weather need a connection.
Which languages are supported?

How accurate are the plans?
Every stop is a real place with photos and ratings, and driving times come from real routes. Costs are estimates made at planning time. Anything you don’t like, you can change in chat.
What does a shared trip page show?
Only the AI-written itinerary. Your exact start and end address are never shown (city level only), there are no dates, and your private notes stay private. You can make any trip private in the app.
How long does it take to plan a trip?
About a minute. You give a start, a destination and how many days you have; the AI comes back with the full day-by-day route, the stops, the overnight towns and an estimated budget.
How is it different from Google Maps?
Google Maps answers “how do I get there”; HitTheRoad answers “what should the trip be”. It decides where to stop, how far to drive each day, which town to sleep in and what a day costs, then hands the finished route to your maps app for turn-by-turn navigation.
Can it plan a road trip from a TikTok or YouTube video?
Yes. Share a TikTok, Reel, YouTube video or a travel blog post to HitTheRoad and it pulls the places out of it and turns them into a drivable route with days, driving times and overnight stops.
Does it book hotels?
It shows real hotels with live prices at every overnight stop and links out to book them; the booking itself happens on the provider's site. Nothing is ever booked automatically.
